Well, I can say this about my progress in writing over the last couple of weeks – I am not very good at keeping track of my progress!

I can’t even guestimate how much I’ve written in two weeks – maybe a couple thousand words, and most of it blogging. So that’s not great. But I do have a plan on how to keep track in the future.

Once upon a time I found a website that had this great checklist. There were things that needed to be tracked every day, but just a few things like bible reading time, meditation, stuff like that. Then there was a place to actually sketch out one’s day and appointments. This particular checklist was then placed in a binder and saved for posterity, or something of the sort.

Well, I’m a fan of checklists and record keeping. And while I’d love to be able to keep track of things just completely online, I’ll be honest.

I’m no good at that.

So I’m thinking a little booklet would do very nicely. An 8-page booklet, one page for each day and one for weekly things such as weight check-ins, and the sole purpose of this little booklet would be to get the information from the time it actually happens until the computer at the end of the week. I could track words written and for what project. I could track meals and all associated snacks. I could track exercise and weight loss. I could even track whether I’d made my son practice that evening, and whether we’d made an effort to work on something from his Cub Scout achievements.

So my progress report for next week, it’s going to be different than this. It’s going to be actual information, instead of, “Oops!”

Oh, I did do one thing this week. Meet the new owner of Ivey Books. *bow*
