(iTouch?) It went from a “must have” toy to a vital part of my life fairly quickly, especially after moving into our new house. What do I love the best and why? Well allow me to tell you.

Just Light: This flashlight application successfully turns my little iTouch into a bright white screen that gives me enough visibility to get upstairs to bed without waking the entire house. This is especially important for my sleepwalking son and husband who doesn’t sleep well.

Clock: Believe it or not, this is my most-used program. I use it for timing dinner in the oven, to wake in the morning, to get me up from an evening nap, and to time how long I can…okay, I don’t actually use the stopwatch feature. I was reaching. Sorry.

Lose It: I admit that I don’t use this program as much as I should, but with a way to track my weight, calories, and set goals and stuff that plays well with their website, there are absolutely no excuses for me not to.

8: This just lets me tap a glass of water on my screen every time I actually drink one. It’s only purpose is to keep track of my water consumption, and then to forget about it at midnight. Simple, yet effective.

Streaks: I like keeping track of how many days in a row I accomplish certain things. Streaks lets me set up as many things to keep track of as I want, and even gives me a variety of ways to do it (once a week, twice a week, etc).

Gold Rush: A game where you have to go dig up gold. This was one I plowed through to win, and keep coming back to when I’m bored. Yes!

ShopShop: A grocery list keeper, good for keeping you on track at the grocery store.

IMDb: Well come on – need I say any more? I even found a great photo of Amy Adams for my background.

Myst: Again – self explainatory for anyone who loved this game on the PC. I can’t wait for Riven.

Tap Defense: A desktop defender type of game, with very cool combinations of game play so you can win even when the odds are otherwise stacked against you.

Katamari: Using the accelerometer, you roll your guy around and pick up stuff. FUN!

TapFarm: Amazingly similar to FarmVille, really, but on the iPod and much, much funner. (It’s a word [in my world], get over it.)

And you get to buy songs right from the iTouch as long as you have an I-net connection, and you can read books on it, and you can play Soduku, and everything! Come on, it’s about as awesome as you can get.
