Well, as I mentioned previously, DH and I bought a house on Tuesday afternoon, and this weekend, we move.
I dislike packing – I’m not good at filling a box so that anything stacked on top of it will be stable and not cave in due to empty spaces in my packing. I really dislike moving, because it takes everything I dislike about packing and multiplies it by a hundred or so.
But we shall perservere. These past few days have been a lot of hard work, but the end result – being in a home that is ours, with our rules and our rooms and all our stuff…completely worth it.
We won’t have Internet access at our new home for a while, or cable. Or a home phone. There are a lot of things we are doing without to do this, and do it right. So please, if you don’t see a post for the next three days, don’t abandon me. I’ve just started making progress, even getting someone to sign up for my blog’s feed (yes, you! I’m talking about you!). I don’t want to undo the progress I’ve made.
Since school starts Monday, I’m taking that day off. To make myself feel better, you know, in case the kids need me desperately. But I’ll be back in my groove by Tuesday, and hopefully will be able to even bank some entries for when I’m up and running again.
